Mutants that were briefly shown in 2033 now get their own levels and even a few bosses. The game continues the story of Metro 2033, which this time surface areas during spring or summer. … ExpandĪ sequel to Metro 2033, and a Redux version. Though its second half starts to involve too much mysticism that the first manage to gradually introduce and end on a great note, the pacing is always top notch with new areas, situations and fights to keep things fresh. Those that have played the game before, there is little reason to return back to it, but for those interested and never have played the series, it's a must-play. The graphics are improved, framerate is great and all the dlc is bundled in to add some extra hours in for players, but what was already established in the original (aside from the Ranger Mode DLC controversy) was already great to start with. Those that have played the game before, there Metro: Last Light Redux doesn't change much of its foundations when comparing to its original version. Metro: Last Light Redux doesn't change much of its foundations when comparing to its original version. Overall, I would say l play this over 2033. It is done way better than anything I have seen. It is UNLIKE any other Russian/Soviet themed game. What this game is really known for is atmosphere. Story is interesting but development of love interest is way too quick. Game sucks at Face animations and feels outdated, but otherwise Graphics are good in general, game-cutscenes are great though videoclip-cutscenes are not. I need to spare the Nazis and Red authoritarians who would slaughter thousands because killing is bad no matter what? Grow up. The morality system was terrible this time. The monster bosses were very simple and lame. And it was a lot of repetitive/expected stuff. Learning stuff through flashbacks wasn't enough and it wasn't a satisfying way to learn it. That time you spend away from everyone is time that should have been spent fleshing out the plot. It's just "I must find the dark one" over and over. The amount of time we spend fighting nameless people and skulking through tunnels is annoying. There is so little meaningful dialogue after the beginning that you being a silent protagonist (still a poor choice here) hurts that much more. The beginning sets up political intrigue with the Nazis and Reds but the Nazis and Hansa become irrelevant and the plot becomes very simple and lame. A promising start leads to disappointment.
